LEDON Originals pays homage to the favourite items of playground equipment which have been bestsellers for decades. The series comprises all the well-known play equipment which is still a must when putting together a dream playground.
Much of the LEDON Originals play equipment was designed and developed by LEDON’s founder Leo Donbæk. Leo’s passion for children’s development and high-quality play equipment is the cornerstone of LEDON as we know it today, and therefore many of the Originals remain extremely popular. This is very much the case, for example, with the well-known red Spring horse, which was designed in 1984 as one of LEDON’s first springers.
Much of the play equipment from LEDON Originals is based on everyday experiences. The playhouses and springers in the series are inspired by daily life and the real world, such as the green tractor, the fuel pump, the jumbo plane etc.Through role-playing, children can therefore live out everyday situations from life as it unfolds around them: the farmer on his tractor, a fire that needs to be put out by the fire engine, or a ride on a motorbike.
