The sandbox is a great place for children to develop their social skills. Children playing alone in the sand will often have to negotiate with other children in the sandbox regarding the available space, and will also have to share any shovels, buckets etc. Children engaged in cooperative play will also have to collaborate on what to build and how. Rules will have to be decided, and it is healthy for children to learn to compromise and listen to each other. It is vital for children to develop and improve all these skills so they find it easier to take part in group activities and feel part of larger communities, for example in the classroom.

Our sandboxes feature a non-slip rubber coating, which ensures the children have a firm footing, even in wet weather. If you want to protect the sand in the sandbox from dirt and animals, it is always possible to buy a cover or cat guard net.
