Description

Get a grip on your balance on the balance beam

The balance beam can stand on its own in the playground or form part of a larger obstacle course comprising several pieces of balance equipment. It is designed with two springs, and two points where the beam can bend. This makes balancing extra challenging, as it yields in response to the children’s weight and is always moving.

The unstable surface is perfect for training children’s balance, concentration and coordination. Children often rush around a lot, but when having to balance, they are forced to slow down and focus on their body and how they move to make sure they don’t fall off. The slower pace gives them time to focus and be more aware of their own bodies – how they react and how to control them. Improved control and concentration benefits children in particular as they start school and begin to learn new things, both physically and mentally.

The balance beam is safety-optimised with springs that cannot catch small fingers, and it is also made of low-maintenance, recyclable materials.

1/6

Springs with patented tensioning

The spring is designed to prevent fingers from getting caught. At the same time, our patented tensioning system ensures a long service life with minimal risk of breakage. The spring is also galvanised and lacquered to protect against rust.

2/6

Flexible solutions

The balance equipment works both as single pieces or in combination with other pieces of equipment, for example an obstacle course.

3/6

Trains balance and coordination

Children use their whole body to keep their balance and coordinate their movements on the play equipment. Balance and coordination are fundamental to children’s physical and cognitive development, and it is therefore important that they are stimulated from an early age.

4/6

Cause and effect

Interacting with the movement of the play equipment makes children more aware of the relationship between cause and effect. This is an important part of supporting their logical sense.

5/6

Strengthens gross motor skills

Children use their major muscle groups and strengthen their gross motor skills when playing on the play equipment. Gross motor skills are vital for both their basic motor development as well as their fine motor skills.

6/6

Non-slip surface

A 3 mm rubber coating ensures a firm footing for children, even when it is raining and in frosty weather.
